Default Not to add insult to injury, but...

My buddy and an active member here (Silverbolt01 or Greyghost) has a 2003 Cobra and his mods are just the 2.80 pully, Predator tune, Prochamber, Spec stage III clutch, and IRS brace and bushings. He installed the brace and bushings, and Prochamber last week and was very anxious to get to the track.

He called me this morning and told me he was at the track and was very excited about his last run. Previously he couldnt pull anything better than a 12.8 out of the pullied Cobra here in Texas where the DA is 5000+ during the summer months. Well after he added the IRS brace and bushings and Prochamber, he pulled a 12.60 on street tires in 90 degree weather (I believe he said 90 degrees) up in Washington D.C. The car will be a good 11 second car easily with slicks and a better set of gears.

Just thought I would share.

All I have to say is I love Florida. The 03 Cobras run a 13.0 stock here. But with those conditions they are good.

I always thought it was really hot, but really dry out in Texas? When it's hot here, it's like 98 degrees and 80% humidity....it's fuggin hot. But I thought out in Texas it could be 100 degrees but with little humidity? Maybe I'm wrong.

What did his car put down with just a pulley and tune? What did he trap? What was his short time?

Man, the humidity here is horrible all summer. Not to mention that the track we race at is running right along side a river, so that doesnt help much.

His car made 420 with just the pully and Predator tune and like 460 ft lbs of torque. His short time was only a 1.98 and his trap was 111 mph, so with a pair of slicks and a better launch... I would leap to say he could pull a 12.0 or high 11 second pass. He still has a long way to go with the car though.

I'm not really sure about the 90 degree weather in DC though....it's a good bit north of here and it's been in the mid 60's the last few days til about 11am here. It was 73 degrees here about an hour ago, and it's now a little after 2pm. Typically DC is a good bit cooler than us.
