2011 5.0 vs. 1999 GS-T

2011 5.0 vs. 1999 GS-T
so here goes the story....
me and my girlfriend were taking a trip from Houston Texas to Montgumery Alabama. in some east jesus no where town in Louisanna i stopped at a gas station to fill up with 89 gas( i usually 93, but it was more economic to upload a the 89 tune ) when this kid comes driving up in his 1999? eclipse GS-T looking like he just stepped out of a Jonas Brothers video. we go to talking and he was like " yeah im pushing 12lbs of boost, i pretty much eat corvettes for breakfast".... " blah, blah, blah,"... i was like yeah i normally send children like you home crying to their mothers... then he made me smile when he said "you wanna run it one time?" i said "i thought you would never ask"
i finish filling up as my girl was coming out of the gas station, she was shaking her head, she already knew what was about to happen. the kid said he wanted to do a 40 kick on the interstate.
we both pull off he blows off like 4 times trying to intimidate me, really it was more humorous than anything.
we both enter the highway roll at 40 mphs and he drops it.. well 40mphs is like 5500 in 2nd for me so that was a dumb choice on his part. i notice right away how this is gonna end and shift into 3rd at around 6800, i am about a car ahead of him at this point. now its like teaseing a baby, just as the baby thinks hes gonna get it, you pull it away and laugh(yeah i know its evil)..... i dump the throttle all the way for the first time and gain about 8 cars on him in about 3 sec. ...... needless to say the kid got off on the next exit and was never heard from again.... poor dude i almost felt bad for him....NOT...
my girl was like why do you do that all the time ... i put her hand on my heart and let her feel my heart rate... and said " i do it for the RUSH "..
so if any one know a guy who drives a red carbon fiber'd out GS-T and lives half way between Louisanna and Mississippi off I20 .. tell him i said whats up!

ok maybe it wasnt 8 cars in 3 seconds, but it had to have been pretty close to that. i pulled on him hard, no BS maybe its the 4.10 gears or what ever .... his blow off valve was going crazy. and he popped his hood at the gas station to boast about what he had done. i expected to beat him no doubt but not smash him like i did

Ford says your car is 15.675 feet long. So 8 lengths would be 125.4 ft.
You pulled 125 feet on a modded turbocharged car going full throttle in 3 seconds? In order to do that you would have to average 41.8 ft/s for three seconds relative to the eclipse. While the eclipse was also accelerating. Let's say you had that average speed over 60 ft relative to something. Say the tree at the drag strip. You'd cover the 60 feet in 1.43 seconds. So your car can accelerate faster from third gear than a car from a stop that just pulled a 1.5 second 60'.
