Okay, so this kill story is going to suck and I apologize in advance. However, I let a buddy of mine take my car out for the night while I stayed in. Apparently he met up with a friend that has a full bolt on, headers, and tuned 2011 SS Camaro LS3. They ended up doing a 30-100mph race and my car ended up pulling a little over a car on him. I assume it would have gotten worse from there but I wasn't there so what are you gonna do. Anyway, thought it was interesting and thought I would share.

1.) must be a GOOD friend to let him take your car out.

2.) your friend can't drive obviously.

^what he said, I hate doing 30 rolls , too high for 1st gear , too low for second gear, anyways a kill is a kill.

If the times in the OP's sig are what his car runs in the 1/4 mile then the outcome is not too far off what should be expected. A full bolt-on, headers, tuned LS3 M6 is no joke even in the heavy '11 SS body.

A guy that frequents the track I run at has a full exhaust, intake, tuned, 2011 SS. Only he has a very mild cam too, but anyway he's trapping 117-118 just about every run, 11.9-12.2. Not bad for a heavy beast like that, imo.

holy crap. not only take it out but race it at 100. ive let one person drive my car that wasnt my immediate family and thats because of how much he loves cars and how well he takes care of his...but no way in hell would i let him pull 100 lol

I usually race to 130mph... So 100 I was kind of surprised he let off so early. Yes, he is a good friend, but also, I have spoken with him about it before, if he breaks anything on my car, he is paying for it. I am really not all that worried about it to be honest. However, I did think the 30 roll was kind of stupid. It is too low for 2nd (3000rpms which isn't awful, but its definitely not great) and too high for 1st.

I'd let my one buddy take my car out anytime if he wanted, but only because he also has a mustang that will be way faster when it's done, so he knows how to handle it.

but anyways, good race op, i would have thought a full bolt on ss would do better than that, but then again, it's a super fat camaro, so i shouldn't have thought so. haha.
