This would be best with ONE driver doing all the driving on the same track.
*shrugs*
I nominate myself to be that driver.
All I ask is that someone pay me an anual salary of 65,000, and provide me with the bone stock vehicles to drive.
I'd say in somewhere around a year I could have several thousands of ET's compiled.
They might not all be 100% best ever, but they'd all be comparable to one another as far as consistancy.

I get what you guys are saying, but there are legitimate ways of confirming a record time. It wouldn't just be joe blow saying, "well my LS1 ran a 11.75 stock."
And if there were any complaints we could use Wikipedia as our source. They actually do a decent job of keeping the fastest ETs recorded on there from what I've seen. If anything else I would be happy to put together the list. I think it would be a cool project.

It wasn't MT, it was those queerbaits over at Insideline, Edmunds, whatever they go by, when they did the STI/GTO comparison. MT did actually spend sometime with the car and pull decent ETs out of both the 5.7 and 6.0.
Here's the one I was mistaken about...

Well it's no secret that the mags dont use dragstrips and instead use gps, 5th wheel, etc to get times. They also tend to 'correct' all their runs to keep them "consistent".
Basically your better off using the manufacturers estimates than any of those magazine results for comparisons.

Yup, lmao..... I could knock 2-3 tenths off my ET with "roll out".
Stig, go for it man. I would like to see the list, honestly. You could use manufacturers numbers like Skater was saying, or one of the more accurate testers like MT. IMO, just use one source instead of several.
This list is pretty good.... http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html
