Exactly, I pulled it down to 2nd on the first run, and on the last run I went to 3rd and let it downshift itself....after she hit it at that. Those runs were also before the Efan fwiw.

Yikes! on a 4l70e? Isn't that a bit risky, to manually push it up to the next gear at WOT? I see it made a good difference, though.

It's 4th/OD you dont want to upshift to under WOT. Found that out the hard way a few years back

What's even worse is that 2nd and 4th are on the same servo, so if you lose one you usually lose both gears.

There was also a write up about some other reasons you should always run in 3rd instead of 4th. Had to do with the way the fluid was routed or something. I'll dig it up later, but it's pretty much been proven that the TBSS will run the 1/4 quicker that way...it's an interesting read at any rate.

I hear you, I haven't stopped working on the fox. These couple mods on the TBSS are a win/win situation, I can gain about 30whp or so while gain a couple MPGs and only costing about $300 since the tune and programmer will be free.

That's a nice DD. I wouldn't go as far as adding boost to it but maybe a mild h/c setup would really wake that wagon up.
