I've never run the 555r like the guys above. I've had mickys on everything. The M/T will get you about 15K miles before they wear out. I had the KDWs on the skittle and they wore out around 23 with hard driving.

It sucks that you have 18's cause those tires are so friggin expensive lol
12-14K?? I would have to buy two sets a year!! Holy crap!

I think I'd rather get the extra 8 k out of tires honestly. I drive a **** ton a lot so I would like the best of both worlds of stickiness and longevitiy.

Hmm, mine may have been in the rain once, but if I roll through some water basically half throttle or more and it just blows them off till the waters gone. I'm sure you could drive them in the rain if you're careful but I know any driving other than complete granny driving would result in spinning.

Om a side note I put the stock wheels on the rear of the car in fall so the radials wouldnt get cold and drove it to the gas station in the rain to top the tank off. those junk *** kumhos were just as bad if not worse lol. I'm an auto I'd put it in second and slowly lean into the throttle not aggressive at all and about 3k rpms it'd just start walkin off on me. I will say those kumhos blew *** from day 1. I got the car they had about 500 miles on them and I hit rain coming home from buying the car those junk kumhos hydroplaned like none other.

I've had 555Rs, good tires, last almost as long as a street tire, had them on my GTO. I pulled 1.87 out of that car with LTS, intake, cat-back, and tune on those 555Rs. After that car, I got myself a Z28 with full boltons and suspension, and pulled 1.78 on Falken street tires. My current SS has Hankooks, and has already seen high 1.8 60s. My point, get a good soft street tire, then go to the track and practice. You'll be surprised what a sticky track and the driver mod will do for you.....on street tires.

Ah, kool! Glad to hear its a decent track. Excited to meet you guys in person and see everyone's rides (and then show them that Ellis Juan is unbeatable ).

You definitely have one hell of a driver mod, 97. 2.02 in that car with those gears is impressive, imo. I had trouble with low 2.0s in my Mach and S197, lol. I think that 6er is going to surprise you more and more each time you hit the track.
