Went to the local 1/8 mile track today.
Only did 2 passes, not very happy. Car bogs in 1 st gear and is running rough.
1st pass missed 3rd gear went a 1.94 60 ft,8.84 at 77.75 mph.
2nd pass went a LOL 2.01 60 ft,8.69 at 82.11 mph..
Is this about were i should be running. In 1st gear it bogs real bad but 2nd chirped the tires a little and pulled real good and on the 8.69 pass i took my time putting it in 3rd so i would not miss it lol.

I dont want to sound like a parrot but leaving harder should take care of the bogging. I'd also expect better 60 times from drag radials. Heat them puppies up good and play with your launch RPMs. Start at 3 grand and go up til you blow the tires away.

I'd start higher on the air pressure and work your way down. When I first started running I aired down far like you did and it bogged off the line. I added air and dropped some time off my ET's. I was always told to start at 30 psi and work your way down. I run 30 lbs and do alright so long as they're heated. I could probably go down a little more since I spin on occasion but not too often.

Good job on going out there and running!! But First off what are you launching at?? You're running a big tire and you don't need 15psi in the tires at least 18 if not 20psi. Do a good burn out rev it to 4500-5000 and kinda slip the clutch and you shouldn't bog at all....
For damn near a full bolt on 2v your times are a lil slow imo should be 8.4-8.3's but the mph is def good enough to pull it off.

I would air them back up a bit, get them hotter than 7 hells, get the rpm up to at least 5k, slip the clutch until the front end starts to lift, then get off it quick and let the tires, gears, and weight transfer take over.
Bogging or spinning is a common issue, but as soon as someone spins, they automatically target/cut the rpm which is a mistake IMO. Keep the rpm up and work the clutch instead. That's where the problem is.

To me it seemed like the car didnt bog until after about 5 feet out. Yes it does it on the street also, but it hooks about the same on the street as it does on the track.I used to leave pretty hard on the street and it would dead hook and not bog, i could also power shift to second and not break them lose. I noticed here latley the car would idle rough but it runs smooth off idle and on through the rpms. I was thinking the car would run atleast a 8.40 ish. I know i need to shift into 3rd a lot faster so i wont lose as much ground, but when i get my race face on i miss 3rd some times lol. My suspension is bone stock, i think i might have lowering springs on their tho. here are the rest of the passes times.
