yeah I was thinking he atleast got the water off the tires. OP, get a 2nd gear burnout down and your spin problem is solved.

You guys think I'm kidding. I'm not.
Dude, thats EXACTLY how our local 1/8th mile track, the Bridge (Natural Bridge). You can run 5sec slips with no helmet, etc. Buddy of mine has a bowtie-powered, turbo'd foxbody, runs mid-5s, he don't get to running right until he's 8-10 coolones deep.

Nice vid Explosive. Those tires smoked up QUICK, must be all the powah!

OP, these guys are getting you on the right track. No real need for a linelock, unless you're so super paranoid about stress on the car. A WHOLE lot of us do standing burnouts with no problem, even us lowly v6 guys, with slicks

It's this car,

https://mustangforums.com/forum/the-...gonna-run.html

Would like to make it into a track car once I get a couple bugs worked out of it. Havent decided if I want to stick with the fox or get an SN95 and swap the motor into it down the road.

Ah, I remember now. Bad *** Fox body all day. That engine bay looks clean, man. I won't go into harping on you about that damn E-cam again, lol. Personally, I would stick with modding that car Vs messing with an SN95. You've already got a really nice base to start out with. I'd just run with that if I were you.

Sorry for getting so far off topic, Scott.

Yea lol thread jack. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't have gone with the e-cam. I still want to auto swap it and start bracket racing
