I came back in 2nd. I told the story as it happened. Him driving an auto its doubtful that he missed a shift. I didn't miss third as posted the synchronized for third is gone so no third. I was asking if a stock 01 gt should beat a stock v6 auto rs camaro?

2. Barely if the GT is driven well (Driven well means minimal spinning and using ALL the gears.)

My apologies on the double thread. I posted it from the phone and when I looked again it was still on the same screen so I hit submit again. It really runs quite well for an as you say " ragged out" 2001 gt with no third. I bought it used for $1500 needing two fenders and a bumper. It went down as I said. With no TC because of a bad ABS sensor a hard launch or even an easy roll to full throttle leads to wheel spin. For that that matter a hard shift into second is wheel spin to 55 MPH. The story I got from the previous owner is that it was a former highway chase car for the local county police department. Truth or not I'm not sure yet. I searched on YouTube and couldn't find any races between a v6 camaro and a mustang gt. I just wondered if the gt beats the rs stock vs stock or not. If not then perhaps there is some truth to the PO s story. It has some flowmaster mufflers and that's all visibly other than aftermarket rear bumper and tails. As I said I know very little about the vehicle as he said the pd did the performance mods he just concentrated on appearance. I thinks its stock but no way to tell if the computer has been tweaked. I do know that the PD only uses o.e local dealerships for all maintenance and other things for all of their vehicles be they chargers or crown vice or vehicles they size from busts. I just know I took him out with TC I may have even got him better than I did.

Dude it's a point and shoot automatic against your ragged out car with no 3rd gear and spinning all the way thru 1st? Just cant happen the way you describe it. Ask the mod to delete this before you get kicked to much.
