yep, like those threads say, 14.2 for either of those cars stock is a good time. it's a drivers race between the v6 camaro and your car running normally, the lack of the 3rd gear is what has everyone like.. noooo... if you had 3rd gear we could all say alright nice kill.

so, maybe you do have some minor mods.. stock air box? it would be weird to leave that there but do other things. throttle body, under drive pulleys, gears, im not sure what else they do to those 2 valves. i think you'd notice aftermarket exhaust (stock manifolds? can you see the cats on the mid pipe?)

We get smog tested once a year so cats are there stock air box except the little rubber silencer thing I yanked off. Cheap paper element air filter from advance auto parts. All the pulleys appear steel and stock. It does have flowmasters on it though nit sure what series.

Perhaps there is some truth to the pos claim it was once used by the PD. They wouldn't put all of that into it. Maybe a tune and that'd be about it. I don't know I'm not gonna say it was and was done. I just know it pulled hard on that camaro, and for that I am happy with it for now. As money comes more mods will also. I'm working.g a deal now for a 5.4 from a navigator with 73k on it from the junk yard. Rear ended and was totalled.

It seems as though you're saying that your car is some sort of factory freak. No way in he** a new edge would beat a RS Camaro when argurably the strongest gear in our cars (3rd) can not be used. I don't even think a New Edge could beat a 3.8 camaro when missing 3rd gear. As they say on Fox NFL.. Come on Man!

the only other explantion is the RS camaro is only running on 4 cylinders, he should have it checked out.

Op, I'm going to do yourself a favor. Next time I'm at the track, I will purposely do a 2-4 shift and get a time slip. That should put an end to this, or if anyone else beats me to it let us know

Hell I can tell you right now how bad it hurts... I miss 3rd all the time and have to either put it back in or shift to 4th... I run over a second slower every time I skip third. My best aborted pass was a 13.7... but I still used 3rd after I got it back in.
