Yea, its always run good, has 160k miles on it too. lol

Stalls do wonders man, like I said, on a centri car or higher revving car the stall would make even more of a difference.

Kind of makes the ol' automatic 2Vs a decent option, imo...you can pick one up for pretty damn cheap, stall it, gear it, slap a sweet sounding exhaust on her, and run some low 13s. Or hit it with a little shot of gas like Greddy does and run a low 12. Just saying, the auto 2V isn't all that bad if you spend your money in the right places.

I actually considered an auto 2V when I was looking at my SS due to the price difference, etc...but knew I would never hear the end of it (why the hell did you buy a damn 2V), lol.

tell me about it.. the stock converter was asleep with my V3@10 PSI and MT ET Streets.. even with 4.10s, it felt like a full second after flooring it did anything happen. A full second. Imagine my horror

2.0 60 fts. 12.5@110mph all day long.. sitting at the light everytime!

there's more in the car then, my car got mid 1.7's on motor, full weight, similar stall, on dr's, etc etc. but yeah i had the same time drop, went from a 13.7 best to a 13.2 best with the converter.

So it would have been an 11.8 with a 3k stall??

I knew the outcome, but our winters are so horrible up here.. any more mods, and I'd be sitting and spinning my wheels at every stop sign! lulz

Yeah, that sounds about right. F-bodies tend to drop about .5 with a 3600 stall, .6 with a 4000 stall, and .7 with a 4400.

Dude, is the time in your sig with a stock converter? Holy crap! 12.5 with the stock stall is pretty damn good, much less 12.2.

Yea man, on the stock verter. I'm still scratching my head over this car...it only has 17k miles on her, but still.

You don't have a tune?

No, really haven't done enough to it to justify one IMO. Just a lid and exhaust. When I had 3.42 gears I had the speedo and shift points corrected but that's about it (that rear end ultimately took a dump, back to the gay 2.73 rear end). I had a stall but it was just a 2800, not a whole lot different than stock. Someday I 'll tear into this engine and/or spray it and then get a proper tune
