Default Tire question

I have set of MT Sportsman tires mounted on extra rims. I'm going to go to the track to have some fun. How will these tires do by comparison to the MT ET Streets?

Not as well.

what size tire/wheel are you running? excessively large/wide wheels/tires slow you down. like my M&Hs 275/50/R17 are 28" tall, way too tall, I'd only need a tire that tall for 600+whp. They are holding me back, basically makes it like i'm running 3.90s instead of 4.10s, plus the extra weight. I should be running a 26" tall tire.

I got them for $150 each and thought it would be a good tire to burn up at the track. The tires I wanted are $250 each.

Like Mishri said, those 28" tires are a tad much and will kill your gearing. I made that same mistake and also need a 26" tire. Night and day difference between the two.

Anyway, I doubt they will do as well as the ET Streets, BUT you got a hell of a good deal on them and they'll still get the job done.

Those tires suck. Had them on an old Camaro I used to own. Not a good racing tire at all. With your power it just makes matters worse. good luck.
