Default Grandson VS Grandpa

Well today was our weekly Cascade Cars and Coffee meet, and as always my Grandfather and I ride down together and get a burger right next to the meet. After the meet was over he wanted to run to harbour freights (hardware store). So we head over there and on the way he gives me the "look" and when I say this I mean, he looks over at me, smiles and downshifts.

I know there is no way in hell I will be able to keep up with him, he's right around 600ish RWHP on E85 and im just.... well less than that... We line up going about 55ish MPH with me in 3rd and him in 4th, I give us three honks and I pull about a half a car (4:10 gears) and hold it for a split second and then he's gone, hitting that rev limiter right as his back end is at my window, almost making me go deaf from the gun shot sounds it makes. He keeps going and going , after about a bus length and a half he shuts it down.

At 80 years young, he still puts the smack down on young guys like myself, and he's not afraid to let them (me) have it haha. I don't know the in's and out's of his car, he says he's to old to remember.

Anways, I didn't get a video but I grabbed a few pictures right before this happend.

Just by looking at it, it's a sleeper for sure, and as any car guy, he wants more HP haha, I tell him to take it easy but his hearing must be going bad cause he doesn't listen. He, along with my uncle, were one of the few who really started to mod their Supra's when there wasn't much going on for that Specific car (a couple of years before F&F). He's also the oldest known member in the Supra community, so that has to count for somthing haha.

He's a pretty cool Grandpa haha. He even let me take it to Prom twice when I was in High School.

And yes... I always give him crap about the stickers haha.

This is one loss I will not forget, nor will he let me forget.

And I guess i'll add this in to because it has to do with Mustangs, He was the first person to own a Mustang in his home town haha.
