Default first time to the strip in 7yrs

finally got back out to the track with my new 99 cobra. car is virtually stock except for bbk cold air intake xpipe head tick mod magnaflow mufflers and cross drilled and slotted rotors. i know some of those dont add horsepower but mentioned so you get an idea on how stock it is.

first pass right off the street was a 9.44

Your IRS will hold up fine with DRs. You have seat time even with your street tires. Work on slipping the clutch and not dumping it.

The 99/01 cobra is 28 spline halfshafts compared to terminator 31s, its very easy to bust those axle with sticky tires even with a bolt on car.

2001 Cobras had 31 spline, yes. I still don't see him breaking them on DRs -- even with 28 spline.

I didnt know the 01s had 31 spline lol, if u dont get wheel hop they should hold up, those 28 spline half shafts are almost instant broke with wheel hop and sticky tires, ive helped push enough em back off the track to attest to that.
