Default old school 740 IL vs. Shelby

I seen it tonight on highway 75 south near Atlanta. Just wondering if you're member here.....Who won the race?

The Shelby (black with gray stripes) was a 10, 11, or 12 model.... And from the looks of it, the 740 smoked it.

I was cruising at 85 and 740 passed him... then as the Shelby sped up, the BMW took of. They must have been doing 150 ++++ The last I saw the BMW was a good 5 cars up.

I kept my speed, but they just left me.

On a side note, it seems there is a lot less viewers on this forums lately. Has anyone else noticed that?

If the old 740 pulled on the Shelby something had to be done to it. My grandpa has one and they're not the quickest car around, fast but, not that fast.

Oh yea, I agree.... The shelby was sharp. I think he was trying to get me to race, but I really don't get down like that.

My other encounter today that was traveling too fast for me as well, lol... I just wanted to see him romp it. of course he didn't.. just cruised about 110... man these people have some ***** on the highway.

740 as in this body style?

He obviously has to have something major done, but those are mobster as hell. My favorite ones are the 06-07ish 750's in white or black.

MMM.

That's it

I know someone with a black 750... Holy cow gadgets. The back seats recline, cooled/heated, and have a moveable foot pedestal. I am 6'4" and fit in the back with a extra 1' or so. My wife wanted one... Told her when she clears a 100K a year she can buy one

Yes, they do cost what our cars cost, but price repairs lol.

Lol....they were built from 95 to 01 right?

Yes, being 29 it's old school to me. Plus it's the older square body that's really not on the road much. I just quote "old school" since it's not really a car made anymore.

The shelby had a BAMA PERFORMANCE sticker covering the back window as well.
