If I did new gears, I'd blow his doors off even still. I'm not arguing that the new v6's aren't mean, though. They are, that is for sure.

BTW, I don't know why or how I managed to hit 8 instead of 6

I wrote this as I was scrambling (realized I was late for work)

My best guess would be pretty close, but I'd have him by a car length maybe.

I agree, while it would be close, I still think the 4.6 3v would be the winner with same mods/ same driver.

I know ive seen a lot of them run really good around here.

There was a guy with a bolt on auto 3v that would run 13.0 all day long on street tires.

He just had your basic bolt ons, pulleys, tune, intake, exhaust, I dont even think he had gears.

This is my dads car (Z28TH1S on here). Sure ya'll have seen this vid. At this time the car had intake/tune/mufflers/3.73s/ds/tires. Little more than 'basic' boltons, but still very few mods considering the times. The car also trapped 106 the same day.

And fwiw, Im not trying to pick an arguement or anything. That 'its a rice eater, but no gt' line kinda got to me, lol. Theres a lot more than a sohc fartcan honda that we can run with. Like.... 99-09 gt's. Theres also a LOT more that will bust our asses.... thats the way it goes.

Thats enough whoring up your thread with my **** youngun. Get back to that guy and get a clean run in, if he's stock (besides those Roush's, which Im curious how you know that), the outcome will likely be different.

I think that when it comes down to the argument, you have to pick which will be faster if money were no object.

The v8's have more power POTENTIAL, but how many people are going to take any engine to peak potential? Not many. But it still comes down to a question of money and mods.

I'll disagree about the money part. That's a very unrealistic comparison. It's not likely so therefore it doesn't really make it a valid argument.

Very true, I have no idea what I was thinking when I typed that. Must be the sleeping pills kicking in.
