07 GT vs. 335i (year unknown)
accidentally ended up racing this guy...i was driving fairly aggressively and right around 20 mph the 335i who was a little behind me, about half a car length punched it. I did too, almost at the same time. I have a JLT CAI with a brenspeed 93 tune...so I thought I would probably be faster. But surprisingly the 335i was right there with me the whole time and I started pulling at around 85 mph but then we shut it off a little after i started pulling on him.
it was about 100 degrees out and my filter's a little dirty so I'm sure I wasn't as fast as I will be when the temp. cools down.
i was surprised at how fast the 335i was - I'm assuming it was stock (but i could be wrong). anyone else raced them?

This link is to Car and Driver, it's the specs for a 2008 BMW 335i.

335i's ain't no slouch. I am surprised you didn't pull on them earlier though since it should've been heavier than your ride by a good margin. Never know what he might have done with the engine either though

A new 335i weighs in at 3560 lbs. A stock 05 GT is 3450. Pretty close in weight. The thing with the 335i is that it's just a tune away from massive power.

Our modded 335i could keep up with our 500whp Saleen pretty well. Some have those N54 motors cranked up to 650whp with a Vishnu single turbo kit. Beware when you see the badge. Even stock they're torque monsters.

Those 335I Bimmers are undertuned so they didn't get too close to the E90/E92 M3s power figures. Stock E90 335I vs. S197 4.6 should be a pretty close race, with maybe the slight edge going to the Bimmer.
The next F30 M3 will infact no longer be a naturally aspirated V8, but a Turbo I6.

Hmm that's a surprise actually, I would've thought they would be heavier. Usually luxury rides tend to have plenty of power but aren't always the lowest on times because they pack in the weight. Good to know
