I trapped 121 with my 2v at <400 rwhp....with a good tire and his setup working right he should be trapping more like 118.

I have a weak sauce cam though... if he isn't hitting 120 I'm not getting near 118.

I dont know the ins and outs of those trannys so I cant really say.
All my tuner said was that I didnt want it to lock up, so I'm not sure either. I know its pretty hard on the 4l60. I know that when it does do it, its like hitting it with a 50 shot. I gotta get up with him and figure it out.

Don't give up hope yet. I think I just need to get a couple little things dialed in along with the weather and its going to come alive.

Yea when you lock it up it will be making more power since it wont be losing power due to the slippage of the open converter.

I wouldnt think it would hurt the tranny, maybe the actual converter clutch cant handle it which is probably the case with most generic single disc units.

Its a single disk, a good single, but still. I'm going to call Vigilante and find out for sure. I really think my problem is more in the tire and weather though.

Skater def has 115 in that car with good air and good driving. His car is ten times harder to drag than mine though.

I've got 555Rs scheduled to be installed Friday afternoon, so I'll be hitting the track Sunday. Temps forecasted to be about 80, fair humidity, partly cloudy, thinking another 1100-1500' day. Hoping for some high 1.6's/low 1.7s, high 11s, 117-118 mph...

You're not lying... we just hit negative DA all the time weather... (had -1429 DA the other morning...) and my paper synchro has checked out for 3rd. WTF? I'm screwed until next year now.

Good luck man, I have to get my racing fix through you now.
