2003 Mustang Mach 1 vs 1999 Mustang GT

Yes I thought so, its my close friends. We have raced before many times with just the mopar stage 1 and exhaust and I always pull on him by about 5-4 cars but now that he has the wastegate we have not run them yet but i feel like it will be neck and neck. Those turbo cars wake up big time with little mods from what i have seen.

That's the only thing that bums me out about having an auto is I can get the rpms the 5 speed guys pull

Yea I've done my research on them and it appears stock autos aren't fond of 6000 + rpms so for now I'll stick with my 6000 shifts since they're nice and firm with my tune. Maybe next year I'll be able to buy a bullet proof Trans and a nice convertor. I brought her home from storage last night and brought my friend who didn't think my drag radials made that much of a difference, it was like a driving a different car with them street tires lol

I'd love to get a shot to drive a 5sp Mach 1 around for a few weeks and make some DR passes.
I managed a 13.6 in my gear/exhaust 2v, which encourages me to believe I could get a Mach one into the 12.7-12.8 range.
By the way, Azure Blue, Comp Orage, and whichever Grey came on Machs are sexy ******

I dont think mr syndicatez eats machs. Stone's 3V S197 was a pretty equivalent with that Mach and stone's other mach's and he absolutely wiped the asphalt with my car before I got my supercharger. Granted I was running a 93 octane tune on 87 fuel accidentally but regardless. Only thing worthwhile that syndicatez has on how my car was set up is 4.10s. I was still in 3.27s when stone and I raced his 3V S197.
I think you may have gotten bad info dude. Im pretty sure you have a 4R75W which is a slightly stronger version of the 4R70W. Our transmissions have absolutely no problems with RPMs. I run my GT out to 6200 and the only thing holding me back from going past that is my stock valve springs. I dunno how the Mach 1 stock valve springs are but thats likely your limiting factor. I have never heard of 4R70W/4R75W having any issues with RPMs. They are stout as hell and only go pop when your at ~600RWHP or more.
