Good luck man but a 13.8 out of stock New Edge would have to be welllllllllll driven and maybe a slight decline on the track, lol...Not saying it can't be done tho..What's your future plans for your car?

While thats entirely possible by your admission you started the race in 2nd at like 2500rpm... (am I reading that wrong?)... My trailblazer probably would have given you fits. lol An equal race and I think you would edge the V6 out.. you just can't afford to give them any advantages.

2.5K - 3K i wasnt really able to look down while turning thru the intersection. but yeah. my plans for this car? I honestly think I am going to sell it and get a 2008 econo box eclipsle. newer, less miles, way better MPG. this car has a questionable tranny and a questionable intake manifold. I just dont like it that much other than how it sounds.

Good run man!! Sounds like it could have been a new v6 and just caught you in a bad spot and was able to run right besides you.

Back in 08 i ran my gf's (at the time) 01 gt bone stock except at drop in filter went 13.71@100.3 8.83 1/8 mile with a midpipe mufflers and dr's i later went 8.59 in the 1/8 but never made back to the 1/4 before the car got sold.

If it had an SS badge on it, then it was probably an SS! Not many people out there swapping badges an attempt to fake people out. Anyway, its also highly doubtful you both flat footed at the same time, so if you stomped yours and he was just rolling into it (until he figured out you were already going)....then there you have it. You got the jump on an auto SS that probably couldn't downshift quick enough.

yeah maybe he was spinning the tires a lot when he shifted into third. This thing was bone stock, couldn't hear him over my loud *** exhaust. maybe he even missed 3rd LOL. Maybe he was a fat *** and had a trunk full of sand bags or something.

either way I'd like to tell myself the tune i have is good for 15hp on 87. Its supposed to be 21hp on my 91 tune, plus my OR X pipe and mufflers add 15hp? So that puts me at 290hp at the crank optimistically. 1hp for my K and N and 1hp for my snorkle delete. . . .

Something I remember now. I raced a 2001 GT automatic against my 97 GT automatic I had mufflers only and he was stock, had a 200lbs passenger and a trunk fulll of crap. I stayed with him really good until about 70

SOHC GT beating a 5Gen SS is plausible!
