OK I raced a 2005-2009 Mustang GT. it sounded like it had borla exhaust. Random dude from a light say YOU WANNA RUN EM! so we did. He got me on the launch and then I just spin 2nd really bad and I think he did to.

So we slow down to a roll in 2nd gear. I pulled away from him just a little bit (3 - 4 feet) and we Both missed 3rd. hahah.

I don't think anything could be done to this car that I don't know about. how am I pulling on a 3v 4.6L

I would guess that the guy only had exhaust as a mod. And since you had a few more mods on yours with a tune I would guess that it's probably because of his car's weight.

the GT i raced is a member here I found out. its a GT for sure. but its an automatic so I guess he just let off instead of missing 3rd.

also he made a thread about possible transmision issues.

Wait.. does your sig say SOLD for your 01? Upgrade?

indeed, done with speed for now. I wanted something new and good on gas. another motorcycle is in my future.

Been there man... I picked up a G6 in 2004 when I got rid of my LT1 car... sometimes it's the right thing to do.

either way I'd like to tell myself the tune i have is good for 15hp on 87. Its supposed to be 21hp on my 91 tune, plus my OR X pipe and mufflers add 15hp? So that puts me at 290hp at the crank optimistically. 1hp for my K and N and 1hp for my snorkle delete. . . .

Something I remember now. I raced a 2001 GT automatic against my 97 GT automatic I had mufflers only and he was stock, had a 200lbs passenger and a trunk fulll of crap. I stayed with him really good until about 70

A stock automatic L99 SS sure as hell isn't spinning tires shifting into 3rd gear!!
