Default Bad trip at the track, but got some experience

Went to the track last night and got two runs in. This is only my 2nd and 3rd runs ever, so I was very nervous lol.

I'll start by saying that it was very hot, and on top of the heat, upper 80s, I was required to buy and wear a fire jacket. So I was baking in my car, and my hands were sweating from the heat/nervousness.

First run I didn't launch or anything, took off pretty normally, didn't want to spin and I didn't. Scared of spinning I didn't go too crazy in first and a little of second. Then missed 3rd lol.

2nd run much of the same, except missed 2nd lol. Similar time, but a higher trap.

I just have to get out there more and dont get too nervous. From what you guys see what do you think my car could run on street tires with say a 2.0 60'?

Thanks guys

With a 111 trap speed you could go 12.7-13.1 depending on the track and conditions.

111 is good for a 12.7 at least. Dial in your 60' with good tires/suspension to the tune of a 1.6-1.7, and you're looking at mid-low 12s easy.

You should get stickier tires before you go back, especially with putting down that much power through 4.10s.

going to the track on street tires is like going to the beach and taking sand with you..... pointless...

get a tire and get out there IMO

Only for you guys with power.... you can cut a 1.9-2.0 60ft and still run 'good' times when you don't make tons of power like the rest of us.

13.50 @ 111.

Then add UPR suspension & sticky tires and it'll run 12s.

Dang.. how much does your car weigh?

111mph and 389whp is pretty decent.

My 4659 lbs. tank was trapping 112mph.. makes me think about how much power it was really making lol

That's a whole lot of weight to move..

Why did you have to buy a fire jacket? Your trap speeds are no where near the speeds that require a fire jacket. Being you run faster than 13.99 you didn't even need to wear a helmet.

Yeah, but it isn't hot where you live. I've never trapped lower than 114.xx, highest being 117.6 and I only made 404hp on the dyno, on a 80* day.

I think he could run a mid to high 12 on street tires, assuming high performance summer tires, not all season crap.
