Two most important questions have been asked, How big of a burnout and what psi are in the tires? You would be amazed at how a 5sec longer burnout and +-2psi makes a difference in some cases.

Sounds to me like you're carrying water or maybe water was tracked up to the light by other cars. Either that or you didn't heat your tires enough. Reason I say is because it grabbed once spun first/got out a ways. Need more details as previously stated.

How much power are you making? I agree with whats already posted... not enough burnout is very common at the track. That or carrying water to the line will cause a lot of problems.

I ran several different tire pressures..Started at 20 and went to 10 before the night was over..None of them made any difference..My first burnout I went to 50 mph for 10 seconds and rolled out..It felt good when I rolled out of the burnout box..Im launching on a 2step box at 3500 rpm..
