Took the 500 out to do a little testing

In early October I am planning on taking the Shelby back to the 1/4 mile, but since I haven't raced the car in 6 months I thought I should take it and do a few test passes to make sure everything was working properly. I took it to a nearby 1/8 mile track, which just happens to be one of the worst racing surfaces I have ever seen. I was about .25 sec off my best, but considering my circumstances I was pleased.

bad surface? I raced on the late Detroit Dragway the year it closed and there were potholes. That's a bad surface

Yeah, it is a little backwoods.. "Race" cars running high 8s, low9's.... granted, there are a few fast cars there, but NO fast street cars. I was bouncing all over the place in the car...definitely kept me focused.
