Short run with 5.0
Not a very exciting run, but I lined up with a fellow 5.0 Stang for a short 30 to 80 run on a city street in Mexico My TC light came on for a bit and went off.....not sure what is going on, but he honked off 3 and I quickly turned my butt end towards the curb giving him a jump. I short shifted to 3rd which was really short for me, but I quickly reeled him in and while I got some spin in third it quickly became a romp that wasn't butt loads but was a satisfying strong pull against him. I need to take it in because I suspect the TC isn't working right. A couple of pulls tried to blow off the tires even in 3rd. SS has been boring and even though it was a short run it was fun.

Glad you were able to get a quick little burst in. I bet if you would have stayed in it longer you would have started pulling away harder. Hopefully everything is okay with your traction control and you get everything sorted out.

I know this has been posted ad nauseum, but, for a car that I will only take to the track a limited number of times a year because I really can't afford to break it with really hard launches, what would be best for suspension upgrades to put power to the pavement......and with 20s all the way around it looks like DR options are kind of limited. I am in a new ballpark with this car. Yes I have been running people for close to 40 years, but............
Right now it has Toyo Proxy 4s all the way around with 295/30/20s on back and 255/35/20s up front. The builder says they are really sticky for road courses and the handling is awesome. It seems like you have to set up a car for either a straight line or twistys. What is a nice balance?
