Default Drag strip results '07 GT

Edit: Mods can you please move this to the street/strip section? My apologies!

My car was left lane and ran against a stock GT500.
This was with the mods in my sig, stock suspension (67k miles) and on Nitto 555 street radials.
D/A at Rocky Mountain Raceways was a whopping 7119 ft. so correction for my time was 13.214 @ 104.517. Missed 4th near the end but caught it fast enough to give it a little more WOT before passing through. And for the question of 4.10s...yeah you'll be shifting before the end so do not miss that shift into 4th and shift it as hard and fast as you can! I'll be swapping to less extreme gearing if my car ever gets boost.
Is this good for the mods on my car?

I think you should be faster. High 12s at roughly sea level would be what I'm thinking. Were you spinning a lot?

Yeah it was spinning off the line pretty good and a little at 2nd. It was tricky because too little throttle and it'd bog down and too much throttle would spin. The guys there were saying with slicks and a good 60' time, I'd be in the high 13's (high 12's D/A corrected). I was also shifting at 6k RPM...not used to the cams yet so a dyno run would give me a better idea where to shift next time.

Does the car feel like it still pulls after 6k?

It pulled hard to 6k but I kept shifting there out of habit from before I got the cams in.

Holy DA batman..not bad for the altitude. I agree with 99 that high 12s should be in that car (corrected or at sea level). Tires and practice sir, tires and practice.

Not bad. Work that sixty down and you'll be good.

Thanks for all the advice guys! I'll work on that launch and get a set of rear drag wheels/radials also.

In my 07 GT in similar conditions, not quite as bad, I was running 13.6@102mph with 4.10s, cai, driveshaft, UDPs, CMDP, LCAs and stock tires. DA corrected to about 12.7 if I remember right. (which I got all sorts of people claiming BS on the DA correction). I actually ran slower with drag radials (because they were a bit larger than stock tires). but this was an automatic. Riptide could never match my times with the manual with similar mods, but he wasn't far off, just like .1-.3 slower if I remember right. if he had drag radials and could launch harder he probably would have closed that gap. (I was launching off idle). It just shows that 99.9% of people can't drive a manual to it's maximum potential.

Anyway, I'd expect a lot better with your mods, high 12s at least, (DA corrected) and with some tires 12.5's if you can really drive it. Gene K went 12.9 with just a CAI and tune if I remember right. (I think he had some negative DA though)
