Default Headed to the track tonight

Alright guys, round two for me. This time, I'll be chasing for that low e.t. I'm gonna hope for a 13.4xx ish. 3 tenths shouldn't be too unreasonable for me to cut from my 13.71 right with 4.10's and dr's? Oh, and that 2013 gt500 is riding up with me, 693 rwhp and 694 rwtq. Crazy numbers off a cai and tune. Predictions?!?

Im going to the track as well as long as the rain holds off. I'm looking to hit 13.1 or so.

You have an 01 Bullitt with 4.10s and DRs? 13.4 is most definitely attainable.

10.6 @ 132 for the Shelby if it's on DRs.

-_- So, the positive thing that I can take away from last night is that my average et is getting consistent, the irritating part is I cannot get this damn 60' time down in the 1.9's and that my car is falling flat after the 1/8 mile marker. After thinking about it on the way home I have come to the conclusion that I need to do an old fashion tube up, spark plugs and fuel filer etc. I've had the car for roughly 100k and haven't replaced either of those components. The car has 150k on it and the motor needs some tlc. I think I'll just do a dyno run to see where I'm at with power before the tune and then I'll do another dyno run to see the gains. I'm really stumped honestly though. I didn't hot lap at all and gave 30+ minutes of cool down time last night in between runs. My best 60' was a 2.04 and my best time was 13.79 at 101.7xx.

On a side note, the gt500 ran a 11.4@128 on his first run ever. He was so stoked lol. He didn't kill it just yet as he was getting a feel for his car. Looked so smooth and beastly. A c6 zo6 with full bolt ons minus h/c was running his mouth to him and kinda to me (don't know why he'd pick on a 2v?). The gt500 smashed him bad haha!

Then there was some grudge races between a new edge mustang and a turbo'd civic. Both cars where running 10.1's! The mustang @~130 and the civic @149!!! I'll post some videos later of the night.

What are you launching at? maybe launching a little harder will get you those 1.9's?

Here is my secret to bracket racing........don't run your car at 100%. Run it at about 80%. If you normally shift at the redline, shift at 4500 rpm. It makes your car much more consistent. Remember, bracket racing is a game, it has nothing to do with speed. Do things exactly the same every run. I used to dial my 2001 gt to the thousandth doing this. Example : hold the throttle at 2000 rpm on the line so you don't spin. Running your car at 100% is for test and tune nights to show off for your buddies. Also, when racing, keep your car as hot as you can. If you get down to the last few cars, you will feel like you are on a NASCAR track, you will go around and stage sometimes in 5 mins or even less. I have won using this strategy a few times, including a final 4 appearance at the old Fun Ford Weekend Series. Did I mention that there were over 300 cars in my class? I will admit that there was a lot of luck getting that far, but my strategy worked. I lost to the eventual winner on a red light.

Here's my last run of the night. I believe I ran a 13.78 on it. More to come in a bit.
