I was on my way to work this morning in my DD 2012 Mustang V6 MCA edition. It's a tuned Automatic with CAI and aluminum drive shaft. My usual drive to work involves a 4 lane highway. Always deserted at 430 in the morning. This road is loaded with red lights that are usually set to green at that time of the morning but as luck would have it I catch a red and sitting next to me is a challenger R/T. He starts to rev a little so I throw a rev back and wait for green. Light turns green and I easy into the throttle at about 1500 RPMs. No spin just launch. The R/T is not so lucky and I'm out 2 lenths before he stops spinning. I hold the 2 cars out to 100MPH and get out of it. He wasn't gaining so my win easily. He flys by doing 120 or more and disappears into the night. I'm sure he would have started pulling eventually but I would have beat him in the 1/4. It's all in the launch baby.
You saw what 97 and his Dad did with their 3.7s didn't you? Both of those guys were running solid 12s with pretty much a set of wheels, bolt-ons, 3.73s, and tune.
