Default Ran Two Classes...Two Trophies

Raced in the Sportsman Class and a special event class the Fastest Streetcar Shootout. Had to hot lap my car throughout the elimination rounds, sometimes not even having time to turn it off. Car ran perfectly, no heat soak whatsoever. I was totally expecting it to happen but it never did. The DA was 1750 when we started. Finals were at 2:30 AM.....DA had dropped to 740 ft and my car ran faster. Broke out in both finals, lost by .05 but I had the better RT in each race and making two finals in one night is still a great night. Brenspeed does all my tuning and I was running my Pro Street 12.90 tune. Slowing the car down ( PB is 12.23) keeps the car more consistant and takes traction issues out of the equation as the car leaves real easy. Sure I enjoy going fast but I enjoy winning more. There were 20+ cars in each class, felt great to be the only who made it to the finals of both classes.

It truly is. I'm really competitive with myself so it suits my personality. I had red lighted at the last race so I was determined to make a good showing.
Thanks guys.

Bracket racing is more of a game than a contest of speed. I takes a lot of practice. But you had to get greedy and win 2 trophies......jeez :-)

That's awesome, congrats. That's very difficult to do what you did

My cousin's husband bracket races in Memphis,Tn. and around the country. He own's a Monza and rail car. Run's Motorvationefi & builds racing harnesses. Great fun the brackets, mostly about turning a great light 00,4 or better consistantly.

Thanks guys and yes its quite the game more than a speed thing. But you have to cut a great light and have a consistant car. I always say if I dont make the finals is usually driver error....bad RT, not enough braking at the top end...those are the biggest reasons you lose. Talking to any old racer at any track and they will tell you to fill out a log book on every run with the vital stats. Then in the future you know what to dial in when the DA is off or changing throughout the event.

The rest of our season is Pro Street races so I gotta get my Pro Tree RT ready to rock....that light will kick your *** if your not ready for it. LOL I have to deep stage and bring up my rpms to 1500 to have a chance of a .5 something. Anything slower and I have lost already.
