Default Daily driver at the strip.

Took the 2012 V6 to Atco tonight just to see what it would do. And what it does is lose alot. LOL. Ran a best of 14.1@100. with a 2.1 sixty on a 77 degree night. Car ran a ton of 14.2-14.3s. always a 2.1-2.2 sixty. Got frustrated and crawled under the car to read the diff tag. I learned it has a 2.73 gear ratio. I was told by the guy I bought it from it had a 3.31. More disappointment. Any way not real shabby for a close to stock V6 auto. It should break into the 13s if I take it back this fall and run in some good air. Always funny to take a slow car to the track after you've gotton used to a quicker car.

My 97 COBRA ran a 14.3@99 in hot weather. Don't gripe about a V6 running that :P.

LOL now I feel bad for all of us. Just kidding fellas. I just got lined up with alot of silly fast cars last night. I raced my wifes Camaro. I told her we'd race for reaction time and sixty sinse she was running over a second faster than me. I also lined up against a a mid 10 second fox 347 about 4 times. Coolest race the night was a guy in a VW turbo bettle with a tune. He asked for the race looking for a close race. My wife raced this guy in the stang. She won the race by .0045 of a second. Ill post a couple slips later.k

Not to bad for a V6 with that gearing. At least you know you could go a lot faster with some gear and a tune. What did the wife end up running in the SS?

The wife did pretty good. She ran 13.1 to 12.8s as the night got cooler. That motor seams to be really be effected by the heat more than other cars I've owned. The V6 Mustang already has a tune and CAI. The gearing kills everything.

They really are! Here's a few slips from the other night. Check out the one on the bottom. One of the coolest slow races I've ever seen. VW turbo bettle against my wife in the V6. the stang is #7092.

Looks like she had to catch up from the start, but that's a very close race and she still won. Those types of runs are cool.

Did she launch off idle or that 60 ft time?

You should replace those turd gears with at least a 3.73. I think as that car sits now, first gear runs out at like 50, second gear damn near 90...behaves more like a 4 speed auto than a 6 speed auto.

She launched at 1000RPMs. It would be a fun little car with a set of 3.73s but Im throwing all my money at the other build. 9 second runs will be a lot more fun then high 13 second runs so the DD wont see any love. Ill probably take the DD back in October and try for 13s. I'll air the tires down and fill it up with a tank of 93 on a 40 degree day. That should do the trick.

BB, an LS anything seems to be very sensitive to temps, DA, dew points, etc. All of mine have been anyway. Unlike my Mach(s) that ran pretty much the same ETs year round. I think the GM PCMs, MAFs, etc are more sensitive or something.
