Battle of the Grocery Getters

Damn, those are stout numbers. I'd imagine it gets a lot of it to the ground too. I know they will still spin being they don't use locking diffs, but regardless its gotta pull pretty hard. Wonder what its going to do at the track?

I don't know what they would run but guess (oops bench racing) 5000 lbs AWD, 650 hp, my guess would be high 10 to low 11. I know this guy never had his truck on a track. The nearest track to Calgary is Edmonton which is 4 hrs away.

The new 392 Jeep get's all the spot light now (rightfully so) but the 6.1's are still pretty damn strong. If I just wanted a beater with power, I'd opt for the even older 5.9 JGC's and build that sucker up. May not have a lot of hp stock and lacks today's tech, but it had plenty of torque and get up! I test drove one after replacing an alternator and that sucker pushed you back in your seat nailing it from a dead-stop or low roll. Mid range was pretty meaty as well. I can imagine it crushing other V8's in 1998 lol

You can get a kit to relocate the exhaust on the early srt8 jeeps to put a hitch on, I don't think I would ever do it though I don't think my transsmission would hold up very well towing stuff around, and they are ****ing expensive to replace since they are basically mercedes transmissions

You could fab up a removable hitch pretty easily too, of you wanted to keep the center exhuast. As low as the gear ratio is on those things, and tough as they are, I'm sure you could haul just about anything you would need to. I wouldn't pull an enclosed trailer with a car in it or anything, but a small boat or whatever shouldn't phase an SRT.
