This car is nuts. Seems like every year Ford steps it up again. The set-up makes sense though, light on the front, etc. I would jump on one in a heartbeat if I were in the position to.

I see this as my next daily driver in a few years. Always liked turbo 4 bangers.

So much easier to pull the block and forge it as well as swapping out for a bigger turbo/intercooler etc. I bet vs a V8... can't wait to see some bigger builds!

The cars out getting a downpipe fab'd up now so should have that available in a few weeks. Past the downpipe/cai I cant wait to see what we do after. Whether that be big turbo or built motor or both.

Out of curiosity sake, what would it take to get a '11-14 5.0 to run those same times?? (auto)

a 12.5 isn't too tough on those cars, a good launch with slicks can probably get pretty close to that, Im at a 12.76 with stock everything and 3.31 gears.
The 12.2 is a bit more work. Slicks for sure, a good tune, exhaust, and either boss or CJ intake should be there. so a few grand gets that low. faster than that usually needs some type of forced induction or a lot of money into the engine, but the fastest NA coyote that I know of (from american muscle's videos) runs 10.75ish. Takes a lot of drivetrain mods, weight reduction, and a great tune. He was also running e85, so probably different injectors too.

What do you think about;

- slicks and skinnies
- 3600 stall Circle D torque converter
- stock 3.31 gears
- rear and passenger seat delete
- light weight racing driver seat
- light weight aluminum drive shaft
- BOSS 302 intake manifold + custom tune
- upper and lower control arms
- CAI
- O/R H pipes
- exhaust cut outs
- straight pipes ( weight reduction from stock exhaust )
- carbon fiber hood
- 93 octane gas
- spare tire/ jack removed

Sorry about the thread jack!

Sounds like a lot of fun... go ahead and send them my way and Ill put them on my car! HAHA
Probably need a few more suspension mods and you will have a real nice 11 second car, possibly getting close to 10s. But then again I'm no expert, and not all that experienced either (done a fair amount of drag racing this past summer, went maybe 10-12 times to sacramento raceway, but not much at all before that), been researching a lot though .
