Last I heard he was dropping the Speed3 for something better. I know when I ran 5.0s (exhaust only) in my Speed3 (bolt ons, and 3 gallons of E85) I'd pull them from a roll (steady walk).

The Mazda's are poo though, I've relegated mine to stock status since my turbo started smoking like a freight train. Now that my SRT8 is 90 percent complete I've started to take that out every once in a while.

I'm beginning to think that its a direct injection thing. That 09 MS3 I drove around for a couple months turned the exhaust tip and back bumper black. And supposedly the higher mileage (60k) Ecoboost 3.5s are starting to show carbon build-up on the underside of the intake valves. Ford doesn't have a fix for it yet other than changing heads.

I think its just a turbo thing. My srt-4 would do the same thing to the bumper and tips.

I heard the issue is with all Ecoboosts. It seems to be an issue when people dont get it into full boost though.

Oh, it's burning oil (eats quite a bit of oil actually). My valves I'm sure are all gunked up, it's a common issue. And my HPFP is failing (even with upgraded internals). But it still gets 26mpg so I'll keep driving it until it falls apart or I buy a new 5.0.

They started revving, I was flashing my lights and they still went. He got the Termie. I found him later looking a bit dejected after a dangerous driving charge.

Conclusion : There is a time and place for everything. Street racing before the biggest hot rod show in the Northwest let alone the world, New Years Eve anywhere, Christmas Eve anywhere. These would have to be no nos. But it's your car and license.

I hate the woodward dream cruise. I have no desire to sit in a traffic jam surrounded by 5000 cops. Way to stressful, usually hit the roads leading to/from the cruise for some action while its going on.

I was there 3 years ago and got busted for a illegal left turn. I just followed suit and got busted for having Ontario plates. The cop even threatened me with illegal tint. What a jerk. Royal Oak cops.......
