Cobalt SS vs 2015 Mustang GT

Around here we mostly roll race because we have too, not because we want to. Its hard enough finding a straight stretch of road without too much traffic, much less stopping in the middle of said highway to do a dig. I'm not saying we never do literally stop traffic in a 70 mph zoned highway, but which is "dumber", coming to a dead stop in a 70 mph zone, dig racing stoplight to stoplight risking a T-bone situation, or just going from a roll once traffic clears out front?
You get it done as quickly and relatively safely as possible, and that almost always means going from a roll.

Or not! Pretty sure stone runs everything he has owned at the track. I for one am fine with keeping the STREET in it. Not like your dropping by to share a lot of your track tales in this section Buster.

And it's not racing, like I said you can put a top fuel engine in a stock mustang and roll race from 250 mph. Is that racing? I hope you guys say it's not. Roll racing is for cars that can't put the power to the ground, plain and simple. If you go to a track and race with timing lights etc from a standing start, there is a bit of challenge to that.

Im with stone on this one. I do agree that it takes less skill from a roll. However launching my Mustang should take little to no skill off the bottle just due to the way the suspension is built, launching on slicks, and leaving on a trans brake. A roll race in my old SRT4 from 40 was just as much of a challenge because that Nasty little 4 banger would spin all the way thru 3rd. If you let it. Besides as dead as this section has got in the last few years we need all the posts we can get. Anyway agree to disagree and have a great day.

What is up with that anyway? I know all the old-heads didn't get lose interest in racing. Is there anything we can do to get this place going again? Used to be post after post in here with plenty of off-the-wall posts to laugh at.
