Pulled my first wheelie today...
And it wasn't in my car!
My work rented the track for a few hours as we've got 8 cars in the shop waiting for delivery and they all want their cars tested at the track first. So we took 4 today, 85x whp 2010 camaro ss, 86x whp zl1, 500whp SHO and a 480whp c7. The sho and the zl1 were very lackluster and wouldn't cooperate. c7 went 11.59 but was VERY lazy off the line. It's got an auto and a 2.56 rear gear, a converter/gear would probably pick up close to a full second on this thing. But as for mods it's only got ported heads, cam, longtubes and cold air. Should run faster than a mid 11 but imo not possible until the gear is addressed.
On to the big dog, the ss. This car we've taken to probably 5-10 track rentals in the past 3 years or so and the car never works. It doesn't like the track, has a big stroker, 3.6 kenne bell, built 6r90, 9" rear, 15" rear wheel with an x275. The car will always either spin, break up, belt slip, drive all over the place, and never goes faster than 10.50's. Took me 2 passes without changing anything(my first time driving it) and it went right down the race track, pulled the front tires about 6 inches(or so they told me anyways, felt like I was on the bumper lol) and went 9.80. Got some vids of it but wont be uploaded until monday/tuesday so I'll update then!
Sucks my first wheelie was in a damn camaro, but all well. Was one awesome feeling and very violent lol. Maybe my car will hook hard enough tomorrow to pull a wheel up

I believe it went in the low 140's. 143 sounds familiar. I know it was a 1.40 60'.
And stealth, I'm no crazy driver, all I did is get in the car and hold it to the floor. For some reason the car just felt like cooperating for once lol.

I think the Camaro must like you more than the others lol
1.4's sounds incredible as well.. not sure if anyone's ever ridden those giant towers with the cables that pull the riders up in a seat a couple stories high and then drops you down at lightning speeds. For those few seconds, you really do lose your breath! I'd imagine that's how 1.4 60 fts. feel like

I remember my first wheelie. Believe it was a Huffy thunder road model. LOL anyway That's a fast 5th gen. Just imagine how fast it would be if they started with a normal sized car instead of that bolder of a car.
