Default Time slips don't show, but it's fast

Only able to get in 2 runs with really bad launches. I had some old BFgood drag radials (265/40) on that I think are spent (6 to 8 yrs old). Can anyone recommend a good tire for a 18" x 8" or 8.5" wheel (2011 gt wheels)? Or do you think I have too much power for a drag radial and need to go to a real track tire?

Car is a 2015 GT auto 600rwhp.

Very nice. Get that 60' fixed and you will be low 11s.

I'm jealous. My car is down now and race season is passing me by.

Whats the set up you are doing? I would think with 600rwhp your trap would be a bit higher.

SO I didn't read the post all that well.

At your level I would get a 15x10 or 15x8 and run a real track tire. You will almost be there with the 18 inch wheels and drag radials but you would see such better results with a real tire. You can probably go to one of the vendors and find a combo that will work for you.

If it was my car I'd get a set of welds and run a 10 inch ET drag slick.

+1 ^^^

Get a devoted set of "track only" rims and tires. You'll be much happier with the consistent results.

Thanks fellows.

I think I will ditch the 18's and go with a real track set up. It's just money right

Yeah you have to much power to mess around with a wanna be drag setup. 15s for the win!! I recently switched from 17s to 15s. Only got a few runs in but the car felt more planted. Looking forward to next season on them.
