Last trip out I had her running 13.5-13.6s at 105-106mph on 2.1 60s. Tossed some 555R drag radials on her and returned. Not sure I believe the tracks equipment though. I was leaving at close to 5k rpm, slipping the clutch to keep it from bogging and dead hooking. Still showed me 2.0 60s! I've pulled a lot of 2.0s and I've pulled 1.6s. Those launches didn't act like any 2.0 to me. ETs came out to 13.0 at 107.x. The real proof their equipment was off is when a civic passed me at the end of the track like I was standing still, yet the slip said he was going 1mph faster than me. I asked the guy and he said he was running 120mph crossing the line. Anyway, I'm still half a second faster I guess lol.

Was the 4 banger in the lane next to you on slicks or street tires? If he was on street tires. Yea it looked like a 2.0 sixty. I've never had much luck with those 555Rs.

He was on street tires, did a 2.3 and absolutely blew my doors off at the end of the track. His slip said he was trapping 1mph more than me lol. He said he crossed at 120. I was leaving at 5k and having to ride the clutch to keep from bogging. Those tires were dead hooking man. Looks like I need a gear bad.

Still nice times, but I'll say it does look like a 2.0 60ft. Only because of the first 10ft looks alittle soft. After that it's a rocket....

Yea that was a 2.0 sixty. The 4 bangers was at your door for the first 20 ft. After the launch. What tire pressure did you launch at? I got my best results on the 555Rs at 15psi. I got a 1.7 back when I owned the 11 Camaro. I can get high 1.5s on the NTO5Rs at 15 psi.

I also ran the 555R's and at lowest i think they were either 18 or 20 psi, and had several 1.9 and like three or four 1.8x's with the 99. Are.you doing a long burn out of about five seconds? First or second gear? How old are those nittos? Mine have to be like 6+ years old now and i doubt they will hook as well.

I was riding the clutch out for that first 20 feet or so then basically jumping off it. That's probably what killed my 60' (staying on the clutch too long). Running the max psi in the tires, they have maybe 3k miles on them. Getting a good 3-5 second burnout. The problem wasn't them not hooking, but that they were hooking and bogging the car down bad. Gears will fix that, but I'd love to figure out a way to get it to launch harder than I was before I do that. I never tried dumping the clutch, or leaving from a lower rpm. Might should have.

99, I pulled some high 1.6s on 555Rs in my SS. The potential is there once you get that intial bite.
