steeda front sway bar problem w bushings? help
So i installed a front sway bar and it turns out that it has a squeaki noise on the front every time i go thru a bump.
It turns out that my bushings are too big for the sway bar, the one on the left side seems to be def looser than the one on the left and that causes my bar to be loose AND HAS PLAY, not good. ( maybe a mispacking problem??).
The sway bar is 1.375"
I cant find my repeceipt but for that sway bar i need this bushings correct? part number 4.5136
If am not mistaken those are the ones i ordered from advance auto parts, unless they dont carry this size and gave me diff ones because i told them for a 35mm sway bar.
So should i buy the 4.5136 again and order a diff size as well? i can always take back the ones that dont fit.
whats the difference between this two sets of bushings? both seem to be for a 1-3/8 sway bar.
4.5136
and
9.5168r
thanks i really need to order this asap.

The bushings should indeed fit VERY tightly around the bar. I would think that if you had a 1~3/8" diameter bar (friggin' huge, by the way!) you would need a bushing with a bit SMALLER hole in it. This would make the clamp squeeze tightly around it so that you don't get noise.
The second part of the equasion, is how the clamp fits over the outside of the bushing. So, you may have a tight fit around the bar itself, but if the clamp is not tight around the outside of the bushing, the same issues of noise and poor fit will still result
My recommendation would be to talk to who ever sold you the sway bar and get the bushings from them. I would steer away from Auto Zone, as they are geared toward aftermarket OEM-like parts, most of the time. I hightly doubt they will have what you need.
Are you 100% sure the front bar is 1~3/8" diameter?
