I just installed my maximum motorsports coilovers with koni yellow SA struts on my 97 GT and I've ran into some clearance issues that may be an issue when im finally able to drive it. My before height from the floor to the top of the wheel well is 26.75" and my after height with the COs install was the same but im running into potentail suspension travel issues where during adjusting i noticed that i only have ~.5" of travel before i hit the bump stops... I had to use the long and short sleeve under my c&c plates compared to just one long one from my previous set up of kyb gr2 and stock cut springs. Is this normal to only have that little suspension travel before riding on the bump stops?

CC plates differ, but the spacer you mentioned is probably the key to gaining some travel, as 1/2" is not going to do it. I ditched my CC plates a few years ago and forget how they were assembled, so not going to be much help here... lol

Hit up MM's website and peep the CO installation page for your model and the CC plates you are installing.

maximum motorsports says to use one long spacer and an extra short one if needed (long one is .5 inches and short is .25) When I raised it again the bump stop was all the way at the top, i set it all the way down to see how much travel i have and it looks like about .5 before the bumpstop. the bump stop is about 2.5 inches long though so total travel is about 3 inches... ill ask MM to see what they say too.
