S197 front swaybar end links
I picked up some parts for the front suspension and one thing that was included was a new set of end links for the front sway bar. The links on my car now don't look to be bad, the ends don't seem to have any cracks or anything - but I noticed that the set I received are a lot thicker than what is on my car (2006 Pony package V6).
What would be the advantage, if any, to the thicker end links? I thought about changing them even though mine look fine, only because they have 195,000 miles on them and so there may be cracking in the boots that I just don't see. But I wondered what difference the thicker link would make.

Stiffer sta-bars can generate much higher endlink loads, so installing fresh endlinks can't hurt.
As I understand it, the OE endlinks are somewhat problematic as far as being able to re-tighten them anyway.

I'm not changing the sway bar itself; in 2006 the Pony package came with the GT sway bars. The seller included the end links along with the A-arms I bought off him and I was surprised to see the difference. The set that are on my car are definitely smaller diameter.
