If i were you i'd bring it to the shop, i was always scared of the compression the springs hold, once they come loose if you don't have the right tools they can shoot off anywhere

I would give it a...

For the simple matter of time consumption, tools needed, and beer required.

All in all, not so bad if you are mechanically inclined. If you've never wrenched out a water pump, tightened the belt down on a fan, changed your own pads and rotors - then this might not be for you.

I took mine to Ford, because my time is precious... Got it there around 8:30, they were completely done and aligned by 1:30. That's 5 hours for the full Pro-Plus kit. If you got the pro kit only (minus the swaybars) that's likely a good hour or so off the install I'd think.

I dunno what exactly is in the Pro Kit, but I just completely redid just about everything on my suspension. Its really not hard like Jay said, as long as you have turned some wrenched before you should be able to do it. The only thing I have to say is HAVE PATIENCE! I have an 01 also and almost every bolt fought me to come out, but I took my time and came up with creative way to fix the problems. Other than that its pretty straight forward. If you need any torque specs just PM me, I have the ford factory manual with all the specs. Good Luck!

Strange, I can do rear springs in about an hour, and the fronts in about 1.5

Wonder what took them so long. I can do it in less than two hours on jackstands using hand tools.

Did you install cc-plates too? They are useful for correctly aligning the car, and they also improve steering feel.

Here's what I use:

http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-b...plates-94.html

They're Made in America, they carry a Lifetime Guarantee, and UPR offers mf.com members a 10% discount.

Doh! Well, as long as they got it off the lift without hurting anything, it's all good!
