Default bottoming out on the highway

A 92 Mustang that has been lowered bottoms out with two people in the car. There are rub marks on the tire right at the sidewall tread junction. Would like to either raise the back or stiffen its suspension. It seems all the coils are made for a 1 1/2" drop. Any suggestions?

Well haven't heard from anyone yet so here is what I have done so far. On the rear coils, I screwed the adjusters in one turn. There was a difference in tightness between the driver's side and the passenger's side. I haven't tested the ride yet but will also consider going from a 275/40/17 to a 265/40/17 tire. I am concerned that this isn't where I am bottoming out due to no missing paint or polished areas on the fender rim. The rear still has a four link in it but was told that the units were up graded.
