what all is needed and is it hard to do

you would need a new catback, the entire IRS, and a lift. it's a fairly easy swap on 99+ cars. the brake cables are the same and I think the brake lines are as well. While you have the IRS out I suggest replacing all the bushings with maximum motorsports ones for better handling.
