I need to buy new rear lower control arm bushings. The previous owner added them. From everything i can tell, they are not manufacturer specific and I just wanted to confirm this with the geniuses here. It looks like I can buy some descent ones for about $60 a pair.

I'd recommend replacing the lower control arms entirely. It really does make a huge difference especially if you go with an arm that has a spherical heim joint one one end. I recommend these for a daily driver: http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-c...e-bushing.html

These arms reduce axle bind and improve articulation due to the added pivot point of the spherical joint. Your car will feel much more planted on uneven pavement especially while accelerating.

You get what you pay for. Those were on my 84 GT and I was very unhappy with them. they were worn out in under a year. Go with Maximum Motorsports. You also don't really need adjustable control arms for most applications.

Why didn't you just replace them if you had them? They are gaurenteed for life! My UPR control arms have seen 10 second passes with no issues.

Because I was not happy about them wearing out after a year of minimal driving. I had MM stuff on my first Mustang that I daily drove from Jan 02 until Nov 2011 and never had an issue.

That's stupid! You buy something with a Lifetime warranty and then don't make the company honor it??? This is almost as stupid as the story you told in the 5.0 section about breaking chrome moly control arms and grade 8 bolts by jacking up a car.
