Default Long Term Storage on Jack Stands

I've read that putting the car on 4 jackstands high enough to lift the tires off the floor is a good way to prevent flat spots from developing over long term (12+ months) of storage.

Any risk that I might damage the suspension by leaving it unloaded for so long?

thx,
Ross

It is not good for the suspension to hang in long term. The solution is to suspend the car with jack stands under the suspension to put the weight of the car back on the springs with the tires off the ground.

Sounds logical. Is there a image in the owners manual or online that you are aware of, showing where to place the jacks?

A quick search turned up a supporting video from a trusted source. Doesn't show the jack placement as clearly as I'd like, but it's still helpful
