Default is $1700 a good price for a SVO???

so i was driving down the street on my goped just taking a cruise and i see a beat up(but all origional) SVO siting in this guys front lawn!! and i was looking at it and saw it has only 93,457miles on it, so i rang the door bell and asked if he was interested in selling it and he said yes!! but he wants 1700 for it, its turbo is shot( got a t04e turbo for it and a stinger header anyways) hes been trying to fix it up but needs money more then his car sooo...
anyways i'll runn out and get pictures of it today and post them but i know right now it
needs: turbo, tires, turn signals are missing the plastics, BODY WORK!!, paint the tranny seems fine but is $1700 too high for the condition of the car?

i've been saving up parts/money to turbo my 91 4 banger and have what it needs to get her going! no flaming lol just input! i think if i went 1400 he'd take it also

thanks in advance guys
tyler B.

Less than 9500 SVO's were EVER made.... Now take into the factor of kids crashing them and 5.0 swaps, I figure around 6000 left in driving shape...

Offer 1400 and go from there, but $1700 is worth it in my mind

ok i took pics and talked with him again he said it needs an alinement(after i saw the right-front tire is bald) sorry for the massive pics but at least you can see it better!
lol but i thought they only made about that many of them but on the other hand my dads 1970 ranchero 429cj 4 speed is really rare and isnt worth anything! ok im going to
offer him 1300 or so and if he says no i'll talk it out and try to get it cheaper as it need a lot of TLC!

The side markers will cost $$$ to get replaced since only the passenger side is re-made.

Looks good for a 84-85 SVO

You could, but I personally like them like that.

You need the head light mounting bracket and the ight itself (not cheap either)

Do you have pics of the pass side? It looks like a paint job would take care of the exterior(well besides headlights and window trim).
See if he would let you take it to a shop to make sure everything is straight. You said the right front tire is bald that's why I suggest it.

1700 for a SVO is a good price. The last one I saw on Ebay was at $5000.

yeah its clearly from the front end needing an alinement though, my father and grandfather were macanics so they're god enough for me.it def. needs ball joints and all that good stuff.the driver's side infront of the door is kicked in pretty bad but if a chop shop can sell a previously totaled car i think i can pull it out!? hehe thanks for all your quick replies guys!!!
