Low Oil Pressure.

I'm hoping its nothing serious, but when I turn the car on after its been sitting for a couple of hours the oil pressure needle sits right in the middle of the gauge. After driving a bit the needle seems to go down right between the N and the O in "NORMAL". On some nights when I drive it will be somewhat higher than that usually Between the M and the A in "NORMAL". Its never been directly on the N or even below it. The engine runs fine everyday, despite a surge in the rpms at idle every once in awhile. I doubt that would be relevant though. The other night I ran a 15.09 at the track. The engine has never given me any problems. No rattles or knocks, It does have bad valve stem seals. Any suggestions on how I should get a proper diagnostic ?

Get a mechanical gauge then come back and give us the readings.

The stock gauge is useless...
