Default BPV/BOV Question

Well I'm thinking about asking for a BPV kit or BOV for Christmas, but I've got a quick question. Do I have to tap into my intercooler, or is there another place I can hook the valve up to?

You will want to tap into the IC for a BPV, the right side as close to the throttle body as possible. I know on svoca there are a couple threads with pics and diagrams and such. I am feeling too lazy to simply link them to you though

Yeah, I searched all last night through those threads, but I think I might have read one guy didn't tap into his IC, I'm unsure on that though.

Hmmm, I was under the impression that the easiest/most common way was to tap the IC. There very well may be another way, but I can't come up with it right now.

Gee, I sure love being so helpful lol

Helpful enough.

Maybe I'll just end up tapping into the IC then, or maybe I'll just hold off until I get a FMIC. What setup do you have?

Just a stock setup. I like the fluttery noise it makes

The Sentra has a BOV, I think it gets kinda annoying sometimes, but it does get alot more attention that way, and other people seem to really love it...

Are you running a front mount on one of the SVO's? If so, what kind are you using, I was thinking about trying to find a Starion IC or something like that, just to get rid of the top mount.

Yeah, on the silver car. It's just a cheapo off of ebay. Has both outlets on the same side, I wanted to avoid sharp turns and I didn't want to switch to a square intake and then have to cut/turn and everything. Doesn't fit quite perfectly, but I got tired of messing with it after a while. I highly suggest a front mount of some sort, dropped ~.3 and gained ~3-4 mph in the 1/4 from it alone. Just for fun...

Ok cool, I think I'm going to look into that. Thanks for the pics to, now that I have your plate number I can come steal your car, buhahahaha.

If I find an NPR IC, does it have to be the small or large one, or will either work?

Don't know why you would want it, seems to me that yours looks nicer lol

I believe either one will work, but it comes down to other things. Some of them (not sure which, maybe all idk) have plastic end tanks. Now, at 20+ psi that makes me kinda nervous. Exploding and fun stuff like that lol. Probably not a huge deal if you don't plan on running lots of boost.

Another thing is the plumbing. You can make it work with the stock setup, but there will be lots of bends and some very (low flowing) sharp ones. The other option is to swap to the square style intake. I liked this IC because it let me keep the stock style and sharp bends to a minimum.
