Default Clutch Adjustment

I just finished putting a new clutch in my 84 svo. After putting it back together, the clutch grabs really low....to low. How can i adjust the grab height of the pedal to make up for the old clutch?

Thanks

Do you have the factory quadrant? If so, you need to adjust it. You simply pull up on the clutch pedal, then push all the way to the floor, it should adjust the slack.

Sorry about the late response, my computer died in that massive April fools worm.

It said to do that in the Chilton manual. I did it and it really didn’t improve the grab height. I’m going to bring the car to the guy who rebuilt the transmission to see what he has to say. Personally, I think the transmission was not rebuild right because it does not go in to first and 5th/ Reverse like it did before it was all messed up. What I mean by messed up is when dropping the transmission; I tried removing a bolt on the side that holds something internal in place in order to get to the last bolt connecting to the bell housing. That bolt holding the internal piece seemed like it would never come out until I herd something fall inside the transmission. Hopefully he can fix the problem and if it’s something with the transmission being rebuilt wrong, he offered to drop it and rebuild/adjust it. If anyone knows anything I should try before I bring the car to him, feel free to post. I plan on bringing it to him this weekend.
