Default rough cold starts

every time I start the car when it sits for a few hours the car idles all funny and turns off unless I give it some gas. I was told this can be the air idle speed sensor/valve is this info correct?

thank you

Mine does that sometimes too, but rarely stalls out. I've never really had any drivability issues from it though.

A couple things:

1. SVOs do not have a check engine light

2. I am guessing either the ECT or the TFI. I am leaning more towards the ECT. Run codes and see what you get.
